New Song: The City Song

It's taken me a while but I've finally completed another song. I've got a few more in the works, and if inspiration stays strong I'll have a new Album out by the end of the year. I'm still using Garageband, though I really should start using the Logic program I've purchased. Still doing all this solo, but I'm starting to ache for some collaboration.

It's been a year and a month since I created my 16 song CD. These original songs feature only my voice, my guitar and piano, and some amazing drum, bass and other instrument tracks manipulated from Garageband.

How does it sound? Well, it sounds like it was made from a low-level computer program by a singer in need of training - but hey, this is much better than those funky tapes I made 10 years ago! What still hold up, in my view, are the musical ideas. I still love the idea of my song, and unlike the casual listener, I can hear beyond the song to what I want it to be but can't yet create. I hope to remake these songs someday, hopefully with Logic Pro, better equipment and perhaps someone else singing. But that is a project for later, for right now I want to concentrate on new musical ideas.
